WEATHERPASS JAPAN (the âServiceâ) is an information service that suggests experiences and activities in Japan based on weather conditions and links to external booking sites such as Klook, KKday and Viator (âPartner Sitesâ). No bookings or payments are made on the Service itself; any booking contract is formed directly between you and the Partner Site or venue.
Opening hours, prices, durations and weather forecasts are provided for reference only, without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Prices shown are indicative; the price on the Partner Site prevails. Travel times are estimates. Always confirm details on the Partner Site and the venueâs official channels before booking.
You must not interfere with the operation of the Service, gain unauthorized access or scrape it in bulk, reproduce or commercially reuse its content without permission, or use it in any way that breaks applicable law or public order.
All intellectual property in the Service, including design, text and logos, belongs to the operator or its rightful owners. Venue and service names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Except in cases of the operatorâs willful misconduct or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for any damage arising from use of or inability to use the Service, bookings, payments or cancellations on Partner Sites, venue operating status, or changes in weather. Where mandatory consumer-protection laws limit this disclaimer, it applies only to the extent those laws permit.
The operator may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.
These Terms may be revised from time to time. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute relating to the Service.
Location: Only when you choose âUse my locationâ, latitude/longitude is obtained via your browserâs geolocation API. It is processed within your browser for distance calculation and weather lookup, and is not stored on our servers. Coordinates are sent to the weather provider (Open-Meteo) to fetch the forecast.
Accounts & personal data: The Service requires no account and collects no personal data such as names or email addresses.
On-device storage (localStorage): For convenience, your âMy tripâ plan and favorites are saved automatically in your browserâs localStorage, on your device only. This data never leaves your device and cannot be accessed by the operator or any third party. You can delete it at any time via the âClear saved dataâ button on the My trip tab, or through your browserâs clear-browsing-data controls. The Service itself sets no cookies.
The Service relies on the following third parties. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
If hosting providers, analytics or advertising are added, access logs (IP address, timestamps, etc.) may be recorded; this policy will be updated accordingly.
You can decline or revoke location access at any time in your browser or device settings. To exercise rights under applicable laws (Japanâs APPI, the GDPR, etc.), contact us using the details below.
Some links on the Service are affiliate links. If you book on a Partner Site through them, the operator may receive a referral commission from that Partner Site, at no additional cost to you. The Service does not determine or claim which Partner Site is cheapest: it links to all three and leaves the comparison to you. Commissions do not influence ranking or what is shown.
